Welcome to the morning world.

I was awake at seven thirty this morning.

That should be good enough of a big topic to begin with. You guys should know my sleeping habits lah. No morning. Now that I'm up early, there's a lack of things to do and too much time. What crap.

Now to rant on bout some other nonsense. I can't find the normal pack Fisherman's Friends. They only come in those tin boxes. I'm gonna eat myself broke. Only two flavours are common, like the two gross flavours. So i went to the supermarket to hunt for the lemon flavour, and there's not a single box of any flavour to be found on the shelves. Pissed, and highly irate, I went to pay for my other stuff, and right in the corner in those shelves by the queue, i saw one box peeking out amongst the batteries at me. I grabbed it with much relish, but I know, that I may not be able to taste my next box most probably til i go back to Singapore.

So don't look at me weird when I stuff myself silly with some things when I'm back, I don't get it here, have pity on me.

I have also observed that the English standard here is fair, but, sometimes there might be slight oddities, and they have a fondness of extremely incomprehendible, highly complex words when in print. Thinking back on my acceptance in the school, they emailed me," Now we have to offer you a place..." Slight bits of broken english everywhere here, but now I'm wondering if that was intentional.

missing home

I spoke to Claire from adm who's here... and she says she loves it here and doesn't wanna go back. I however, am the opposite. Not that it isn't cool to be here, but how I wish I could carry all the people I care about in a shoe box here with me.

Well Bernice wants to come here to study so we kinda came to a conclusion that she should study here, and I live in Singapore. The diploma goes to me of course.

reached. and trying to settle

I'm here safe and sound... but sure missing home like hell.
Feel prety useless though... freaked the first night til Billy had to call me to see what's wrong. I sure am gonna miss him. And of course everyone else. may the holidays be here soon.

School's starting on Thurs, and once it begins, I will be out more often, and there definitely will be tales to tell. Haha but I don't know if there'll be more drama mama tales of the peoples here, or elaborate descriptions of my clumsiness.

Well as I said to a friend the day before I left,
I can't wait to go, but I sure hate to leave.

Still can't believe I got in.
Really don't know what to do. Hate to leave everyone behind, Billy's sad and so am I.
Feeling all clashed up inside. Happiest I've been for quite awhile, yet also the saddest.

update.

Yes isk i see you. so well, briefly, the most important thing. i did NOT get into the school in Hongkong, and the whole world's disappointed in me.
i still can hear myself ripping apart.
registered in February.
interviewed in June.
on a waiting list in August.
left to die with a small lingering strand of overrated hope.

well well, here's the email from the admin staff.

Dear gwen,
Yes, you are right, if someone decline the offer, you'll have a chance.(mission impossible) We will call the waiting list's applicant around 19 Aug and 20 Aug(i hope i had left my handphone no in singapore), if you do not hear any news from until 23 Aug, that means your application status will be unsuccessfully.Thank you for your attention.
